Be Sunstoppable
Colorescience is thrilled to kick off our new giving back program, Sunstoppable, in partnership with Women's Dermatologic Society and the Time Out to Protect your Skin program. Sunstoppable aims to better lives by changing the sun protection habits of parents and children, making it a daily necessity for long-term health and safety.
OUR MISSION
The Sunstoppable mission is simple. We want to improve lives, especially for the next generation, today’s kids and teens, through education and about how and why UV protection matters. We know that every sunburn counts and that only 25% of kids wear sunscreen daily. One severe sunburn during childhood double the lifetime risk of melanoma. But, with proper protection most types of skin cancer are 100% preventable. Whether at school, work or on the playground, Colorescience believes that smart sun habits year-round are the key to healthy skin.
PROGRAM KICK OFF
Today we proudly donated 6 trees at Ocean Knoll Elementary in Encinitas, CA to provide shade to the children and reaffirm the importance of sun education and protection for our youth. This partnership event is just the beginning in many more to come of its kind. Colorescience is dedicated to raising awareness and continued support in the installation of sun shades and trees throughout schools across the United States.
