Planner/Expeditor

Summary:

Colorescience is looking for a full-time Planner/Expeditor to support our Operations department. In this role, you will interpret the commercial forecast and develop a Finished Good replenishment plan that meets strategic goals for omni-channel growth, optimal inventory levels, and inventory turns including managing product expiration dating. Responsible for coordinated communication between internal/external stakeholders - Sales/Marketing and Contract Manufacturers

Colorescience is looking for a full-time Planner/Expeditor to support our Operations department. In this role, you will interpret the commercial forecast and develop a Finished Good replenishment plan that meets strategic goals for omni-channel growth, optimal inventory levels, and inventory turns including managing product expiration dating.  Responsible for coordinated communication between internal/external stakeholders - Sales/Marketing and Contract Manufacturers

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Procurement

  • Utilization of Finished Goods model in ERP for planning purposes including maintaining data integrity for key attributes - lead time, product cost, safety stock, supplier, backflush locations, etc.
  • Perform all procurement transactions in ERP system to support finished good production.
  • Issue PO’s to suppliers.
  • Maintain Open PO report with updated delivery dates, expedite PO's as needed.
  • Coordinate logistics as needed.
  • Prepare monthly cash forecast for FG.
  • Interface and provide resolution management regarding pricing discrepancies, shortages, or missing deliveries with Finance team.
  • Communication with Contract Manufacturers (CM) regarding finished good inventory position

Manufacturing

  • Responsible for aligning corporate demand plans with CM production schedule.
  • Responsible for clear and concise communication.
  • Coordinate with Director of Supply Chain on component needs.
  • Responsible for validating cost and changes to production efficiency.
  • Interface and resolution management on raw material shortages.
  • Key contributor to business continuity plan.

 

Inventory Management

  • Responsible for maintaining 12 weeks inventory on TOP 25 SKU’s.
  • Responsible for management & disposition of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Accountable to prepare, present, and report weekly stock position with internal stakeholders – Weeks of Supply, replenishment dates, slow moving items, inventory cash requirements.
  • Accountable to prepare, present and report allocation strategy as needed for items with limited inventory.

Communication

  • Lead regular consensus review meetings between commercial teams, finance and operations.
  • Clear and timely communication to Operations team on key business insights and trends that would affect inventory position.
  • Review and report sales performance to forecast and ensures adjustments are made for future production.
  • Work cross functionally to drive decision-making, new processes, collaboration, and visibility.
  • Good decision making, analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task.

 Background/Qualifications:

  • College degree
  • Experience in Supply Chain working with contract manufacturers
  • Strong analytics and forecasting
