The Product Data Specialist is responsible for managing, analyzing, and optimizing product-related data to support business operations and support infrastructure set up and maintenance.  This role involves maintaining accurate product information in databases and content management systems, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Job Overview:

The Product Data Specialist is responsible for managing, analyzing, and optimizing product-related data to support business operations and support infrastructure set up and maintenance.  This role involves maintaining accurate product information in databases and content management systems, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. 


Key Responsibilities:

ERP System set up and assurance that data is maintained and up to date, including item set up, UPC creation and maintenance, BOM set up, costing attributes.

External systems support and set up.

Auxiliary B2B portal support - catalog maintenance.

Analysis and reporting excel macros. Forecasting/demand planning collection of data and analysis, KPI Metric reporting, safety stock and fill rate. 

ERP (Intuitive)

 

·       Responsible for creating finished goods and component SKU’s

 

·       Responsible for creating new SKU for revisions

 

·       Responsible for creating and updating BOM’s as requested by Operations team

 

·       Maintain integrity of inventory and product attributes data (product family, BOM’s, active/inactive and costing-

·       standard cost, BURU) for all SKU’s  

 

·       Maintenance of default setting for Finished Goods

 

 

External System Support

 

·       GS1 US data hub

 

·       Responsible for generating UPC and maintenance via GS1 and entering into ERP

 

·       Capacity

 

·       Responsible for new item uploads to Client Center

 

·       Liaison for duplicate/trouble orders in Client Center - pass onto appropriate commercial team for resolution

 

 

B2B Portal

 

·       Catalog maintenance

·       Updates to inventory adjustments split shipments

·       Wholesale, staff order, special request, courtesy stock, employee gratis

 

·       Portal Image Maintenance

 

 

Analysis and reporting

·       Excel based

 

 

 

Forecast/Demand Planning:

 

Responsible for extracting monthly consumption (units sold) by channel.

 

Responsible for compiling a monthly forecast attainment report by channel.

 

Support team in maintaining 12 month rolling forecast based on trendlines or growth factors.  

 

 

Operational KPI Metrics:

 

Responsible for updating and maintenance of KPI dashboard - Safety Stock, Fill Rate and Capacity Dashboard.

 

 

Communication:

 

Clear and timely communication to Operations team on key business insights and trends that would affect inventory position

 

Good decision making, analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task


 

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Advanced degrees or certifications in data management or analytics can be a plus.

Experience:

1–3+ years of experience in a data management, product content, merchandising, or e-commerce support role.

Experience with PIM (Product Information Management) systems required.

Familiarity with ERP systems (like SAP, Oracle) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Amazon Seller Central) is advantageous.

Skills:

·       Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·       Good decision making, analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task.

·       Analytical mindset with a problem-solving orientation.

·       Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and validation.

·       Ability to analyze product data for trends, gaps, and inconsistencies.

·       Comfortable working with large datasets.

·       Ability to adapt quickly to changing business environments and requirements.

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex, high-stakes situations.

·       Proactive in identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.

·       Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues during organizational transitions.
