System Support Administrator

Job Responsibilities 

  • Document IS and IT operational processes and provide training to staff as needed. 
  • Become the primary point of contact and SME (Subject Matter Expert) of multiple business systems. 
  • Manage an internal information systems helpdesk and coordinate workloads with other team members to ensure adequate coverage. 
  • Coordinate with external IT service providers to continuously improve IT operations, security, IT helpdesk and practices for MS Teams, One Drive and the Office 365 platform. 
  • Manage PC equipment processes, from procurement to end of life. 
  • Oversee Onboarding, Offboarding, Exchanges of equipment and related software. 
  • Coordinate support around on-prem infrastructure, such as: servers, networks, PCs, printers, and phone systems. 
  • Research and coordinate with vendors to implement new services and systems to reduce complexity and increase reliability of operations, some examples: SSO, Universal Print Services, Site Recovery Strategy. 
  • Support routine data updates to business systems. 

 Essential Qualifications / Experience 

  • Demonstrate curiosity in applying technical knowledge to problems. 
  • Support a variety of on-prem and cloud business systems. 
  • Proficient supporting Microsoft Office 365, Teams and OneDrive. 
  • Windows Domains and Azure AD environments 
  • Networking knowledge such as Subnets, VPNs, VLAN, TLS/SSL management, Firewall, Security Groups, DHCP, DNS. 
  • Knowledge of data transfer technologies and protocols such as HTTPS, FTP, S3, Windows Network Shares. 
  • Coordinate an Information System and Technology helpdesk environment. 
  • Understand general business operations as they relate to: B2B, B2C, accounting, marketing and customer service systems. 
  • Demonstrated ability going from zero to one with technologies. 
  • Experience working with management level stakeholders, guiding loose requirements, and compartmentalizing measurable actionable projects/tasks. 

 Bonus Qualifications 

  • Familiar with relational databases, SQL coding and use of common data files such as JSON, CSV, XML. 
  • Understanding of web services and tools such as REST, Configuring IIS, OAuth, PostMan. 
  • Experience delegating and leading junior Technology staff 
  • Experience guiding management level expectations and quantifying requests before allocating resources.
