  • Affiliates. We may share personal information with our affiliates (g., parent company, sister companies, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control).
  • Corporate Transaction. We may share your personal information while negotiating or in relation to a change of corporate control such as a restructuring, merger, acquisition or sale of all or a portion of our assets, or if we go out of business or enters bankruptcy.
  • Service Providers. We may share your personal information with service providers. Service providers may assist us in providing our online e-commerce platform, fulfilling orders, shipping orders, processing payments, offering customer service, maintaining and operating our rewards program, sending direct marketing messages, IT and system administration and hosting, conducting research analytics, preventing and investigating fraud.
  • Colorescience Partners. We may share certain information with “Colorescience Partners” (medical or other aesthetic practices or skin health professionals carrying Colorescience products) in connection with the Lasting Beauty Rewards program. This may include the points you have earned and redeemed, as well as outstanding points balance that has not been redeemed and date of your recent point redemption. 
  • Promotion Partners. If we engage in a joint promotion with an affiliate and/or partner, we may share your personal information with our affiliate and/or partner to be used in relation to the promotion.
  • Public. From time to time, you may be able to participate in certain activities on the Services, such as forums, reviews, user opinions, chat rooms or bulletin boards (“Public Communications Features”), which give you the opportunity to communicate with Colorescience and other users of the Services. Be aware that when you volunteer information or create a public profile in the course of your participation in our Public Communications Features, such information may be made publicly available.
  • Professional Services. We may share personal information with our professional service providers, such as auditors or lawyers.

We recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals broadcast from web browsers as a valid opt-out request where required by applicable law. Please note that the GPC will apply only to your current browser. We do not recognize the “Do Not Track Signal.” If there is a conflict between the GPC signal and a manual choice that you have made on our website regarding targeted advertising, we will honor your manual choice.
  • Access, Correct or Disable Your Account. You can (a) access, correct, or update information about you, and/or (b) disable your online account to prevent any future purchases through that account.   • Promotional Emails. You may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in such emails. If you choose not to receive such emails, we may still send you service-related communications.

Not all the rights above are absolute, and they do not apply in all circumstances. We may limit or deny a  request because the law permits or requires us to. We will not discriminate against individuals who exercise a privacy right.

Submitting Requests

If you disagree with our denial of a request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us through the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer of our website .

We will require you to prove your identity when making most types of requests. Depending on your request, we will ask for information such as your name, email address, and customer ID.

Depending on your state of residence in the U.S., you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To do so, you must: (1) provide that authorized agent written and signed permission to submit such request; and (2) verify your own identity directly with us. Please note, we may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been authorized by you to act on your behalf.

If you are an authorized agent, you must attach a copy of a completed Authorized Agent Designation Form which shows that you may act on another’s behalf.

How We Protect Personal Information

No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is fully secure. While we use reasonable efforts to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee its security. If we are required to inform you about a security incident, we will do so electronically, in writing, or by phone, as the law permits.

How Long We Retain Personal Information

We keep your personal information for only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. This includes the purposes of satisfying legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information. Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy and our practices at any time. When we make changes, we will post them here on the Services and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If we make changes that are material, we may use reasonable efforts to attempt to notify you (in accordance with applicable law), including by email or placing a prominent notice on the first page of the Services. Revisions will be effective immediately upon posting. 

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information about children under the age of thirteen (13). If you are under the age of thirteen (13) you should not register, order, purchase or provide information to or from Colorescience.   • California Notice of Financial Incentive. We offer our customers a loyalty program (the Lasting Beauty Rewards program) that provides certain perks, such as rewards and exclusive offers. We may also provide other programs from time to time, such as sweepstakes or other similar campaigns (collectively, the “Programs”). When you sign up for one of these Programs, we typically ask you to provide your name and contact information (such as email address). Because our Programs involve the collection of personal information and offering of certain benefits, they might be interpreted as a “financial incentive” program under California law. Under the California law, the value of your personal information to us is related to the value of the free or discounted products or services, or other benefits that you obtain or that are provided as part of the applicable Program, less the expense related to offering those products, services, and benefits to participants. Note that we do not use such information for any purposes that are not identified within the California Privacy Rights Act Section 1798.121.
