Summary:

Colorescience, a high growth omni-channel skincare brand, is seeking an in-house video editor to join our expanding Creative/Marketing team. Video content is a core part of Colorescience’s marketing strategy, especially as related to paid media. We’re looking for a skilled video editor to work in both short and long formats, taking footage shot by influencer UGC partners as well as studio production teams and editing it based on project specs. This role reports to the Executive Creative Director and will work cross-functionally with our digital media, social media, and e-commerce teams. The ideal candidate is able to offer design solutions that are on-brief, on-brand, and meet the goals of the business.  Description

This role requires expertise in hands-on video editing work supporting all branded pieces of moving media. This includes all paid media, assistance with organic social media and video assets across all owned channels. Strong visual design foundation expected including composition and typography.

 Responsibilities

  • Work within the Colorescience brand style guide to execute video assets for paid advertising, organic social and other marketing needs
  • Interpret campaign strategies into video deliverables that optimize for business goals — both upper and lower funnel creatives for out-bound advertising
  • Edit existing or provided video footage along with copy overlays, graphics, CTAs and other digital assets to deliver high-quality video assets for various placements and platforms
  • Provide copy writing support for creative campaigns as needed
  • Assist in the maintenance of consistent brand identity and experience across all channels

Qualifications

  • BA/BFA Graphic Design, Film or equivalent 4-year degree
  • 3+ years of professional editing experience for a B2B or B2C brand or business
  • Experience designing for a lifestyle consumer brand, with specific experience in e-commerce and performance marketing, a major plus
  • Expert video editing and production technical skills
  • Well-versed in typography, composition, color theory and design skills
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud with focus on Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Desire to contribute to a broader creative purview than artwork—including copywriting, filming and content creation of all kinds
  • Comfortable managing creative execution across multiple needs and channel timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and a track record of managing multiple simultaneous projects and deadline prioritizations in a cross-functional marketing environment
