What is the best face moisturizer for rosacea?
Moisturizer is a critical component of any rosacea sufferers’ skincare routine because it creates a protective barrier and helps prevent dryness that’s often associated with the condition. The best face moisturizer for rosacea is one that is light, hydrating, and free of irritants. When trying to find a moisturizer for rosacea, you should look for one with ingredients that are calming, like the flower water found in our Hydrating Mist.
The most important thing to keep in mind when selecting a moisturizer for rosacea is to test it on a small patch of skin first to ensure that it won’t cause a big flare-up.
What creams are used to treat rosacea?
An anti-pigmentation cream can be helpful in treating rosacea because these creams include ingredients that can help neutralize discoloration, including redness caused by the condition.
Those with rosacea tend to have highly reactive skin, so you need to exercise caution when choosing skincare products. When buying a face cream for rosacea, you should look for ingredients that are gentle like zinc oxide and stay away from irritating products that include alcohol, fragrances, and lactic acid. You also want a moisturizer that is non-comedogenic so it does not clog your pores.
Our All Calm® Clinical Redness Corrector SPF 50 is formulated to soothe skin, immediately correcting redness while providing continuous relief and protection from irritation. Plus, it protects your skin from UV rays, which are one of the biggest triggers for rosacea, with powerful SPF.
How do I get rid of rosacea on my face?
While rosacea can be managed, there currently isn’t a permanent cure for this skin condition.
First and foremost, since sun exposure is a common trigger of rosacea, you should use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher any time you’re exposed to the sun. In addition to regularly using face cream for rosacea, our sunscreen for sensitive skin can also help prevent flare-ups without causing additional redness or irritation. Using our All Calm® Corrective Kit for Redness is the perfect solution for those with rosacea because it has been specifically designed to help manage redness and sensitivity while also protecting your skin with SPF.
Even though you can’t necessarily get rid of rosacea, that doesn’t mean you have to settle for blotchy skin. Colorescience has formulated a primer for sensitive skin that provides a fair amount of coverage and is gentle on easily irritated skin. Alternatively, our foundation for sensitive skin provides great coverage for when your rosacea flare-ups are especially noticeable.
Does drinking water help rosacea?
While drinking water is not necessarily a solution for rosacea, it does keep your skin healthy and moisturized which can help reduce irritation. On the other hand, there are some dietary measures that can directly help with rosacea, including reducing your consumption of alcohol and spicy foods.
Many rosacea sufferers are not aware that the ingredients in their favorite skin products may actually be making their condition worse. Use Colorescience products like our customer-favorite All Calm® Corrective Kit for Redness, which includes a skin cream for rosacea, because we specialize in non-irritating formulas that stay away from harsh chemicals and fragrances — and focus on improving your complexion.
All Calm is perfect for redness from rosacea! All Calm solved my redness so completely that I am using blush for the first time in years!
Red be gone!I have "self-induced" redness from using retinol on my sensitive skin every night. All Calm takes away all the redness in the morning and no one knows I have sensitive, red skin.
All Calm Calms red skinAll Clam goes on smoothly, it covers my sensitive skin and redness. It really covers well and is easy to apply!
Extremely Calming to My AcneI struggle with hormonal acne. And as with ALL colorscience products I have found that this product is extremely calming and soothing to my acne. I use it both in the morning to help set my makeup for the day but I also use it at night after washing and applying all my night creams. I find that using it at night it helps lock in some moisture as well as calm and soothe my acne!
Great for redness & sensitive skin!Great for redness & sensitive skin. The kit really comes in handy for all types of irritated skin including redness, dark spots and dry skin!
Must-have for RosaceaMy dermatologist recommended this as a primer before my foundation and I have been using it for over 5 years now. It is a must-have for my daily routine for dealing with Rosacea.
Great for Rosacea!I don't usually write reviews but had to on this product. This primer is very soothing and calming for my sensitive rosacea, calms down my redness and does not irritate my skin at all, unlike other sunscreens. It has been very hard for me to find a replacement sunscreen since my Dermalogica primer sunscreen got discontinued, but this might finally be my alternative. It's so light that it feels like I'm wearing nothing at all, compared to other sunscreens I have used that make you look shiny or feel heavy. I layer my Dermalogica moisturizer barrier repair and then this on top, and I'm good to go and it last all day- and I live in Florida! Thank you colorscience for an amazing product, please don't ever discontinue!
