Before you get started, 'break through' the first layer of your Color Balm with your fingertips, by rubbing it on the back of your hand for a few strokes. Once you get through the topmost layer, Color Balm is easy to apply, with a color payoff.
1. Apply directly to the skin and blend.
This will result in an instant bold color that can be blended for your desired finish look. Perfect method for cheek and lips application.
2. Warm up and apply with clean fingers.
Use the tip of your finger to warm up Color Balm and apply to skin by swiping a few times back and forth. This method is ideal for eyelid application, just be sure to tap very gently.
3. Apply with a clean makeup brush.
This method is preferred when looking to achieve a light, buildable color for an easy customized look.

I love the Balm
This gives me similar color to makeup bronzing stick products. It’s a little thicker than I expected, but I like the additional SPF coverage it provides.

I really wanted to love this product. I like the color balms in “blush” colors. This glow color is fairly dark. I have very pale skin. This glow color would do well on darker skin tones, but it’s nearly too dark on my summer skin and would surely be too dark on my winter (less sun exposure) skin. It’d be so cool if there were two shades of glow - one lighter shade for paler skin and one darker shade for darker skin.

When using to add a touch of color to the cheeks, the method of application will determine the color payoff. For more pigment and color, apply your Color Balm directly to the skin and blend with fingertips or a makeup brush. For a light, buildable color, we recommend using a clean makeup brush to swipe the product from the Color Balm, then apply to the face. The shade Blush is a lighter shade, so building more layers may provide a more noticeable color payoff.
